Parpan lies at 1500 metres in the heart of the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area. The Heimberg ski lift is just a few minutes' walk away, and in the evening you can ski right back to the door. In summer the hiking and biking trails start right by the house.
The apartment is furnished with Swiss stone pine and a lot of love: an open kitchen-living room with an extendable dining table that seats up to ten, three bedrooms on two floors, a covered balcony looking out onto the mountains and a patio in front of the house. You book directly with us, Tabea and Jeroen, with no platform fees.

Winter and summer
Two seasons, two reasons to come
In winter Calandablick is a ski house with the slope outside the door. In summer it is all about biking and hiking: that is when we often come here ourselves, with our bikes in the garage.
Skiing from the doorstep
Parpan lies between two mountainsides right in the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area. With enough snow, you cross the road, set off at Hotel Alpina and ski down to Heimberg, the main lift on the World Cup slope. From there a connecting lift takes you to the other side of the valley.
Back into the gardenTime it right and you can ski from the other side of the valley through a stretch of forest straight into our garden.
Ski room and drying roomSkis and boots stay in the ski room at the entrance, and wet clothes dry overnight in the drying room.
Cross-country skiingMore than 20 km of trails, connecting to the neighbouring villages.
Kids Park Heimberg
A practice slope that needs no ski pass, within walking distance. Plus the Parpan ski school, a kiosk where parents can warm up, and cross-country ski rental.
The Scharmoin mountain restaurant still has self-service. Its fries are legendary with our children.
A bike house in the middle of the trails
The Lenzerheide Bike Kingdom is one of the great biking destinations in the Alps: trails for every level, with jumps, drops and flow sections. The bus on the main road has a rack for downhill bikes and gets you to the entrance in five minutes. On the way back, take the turn-off to Parpan halfway down the downhill track and ride downhill all the way to the front door.

Lenzerheide Bike Kingdom
The tracks are open until 8 pm. On sunny weekends it gets busy, but in the late afternoon it is much quieter.
Bike School Lenzerheide sets up a course by Lake Heidsee for children up to about 9. For first downhill rides we recommend EPIC Lenzerheide: our children learned a lot there.

Parpaner Rothorn
Take the Rothorn cable car from Lenzerheide up to 2865 metres: sweeping views over the Graubünden Alps and Lake Heidsee far below, high alpine hiking paths and trails for experienced bikers.
At the lido, the «Badi», you can relax on the lawn or the gravel beach, swim in the lake or rent a stand-up paddleboard. The kiosk sells food, or you can cook your own on the big barbecue grill. Small children play in the stream and the shallow water.
Pradaschier, Churwalden
The longest toboggan run in Switzerland, plus a zipline and rope park, reached by chairlift.
At the top of the toboggan run: a sunny terrace with mountain views and a large play meadow with goals and a swing. Parents sit back, children play. There are also barbecue spots along the hiking trails.
Squirrels that eat out of your hand, and the Globi trail with play stations for children. Tabea designed the original Globi trail 20 years ago as a university project.
The indoor pool and sauna at the Lenzerheide sports centre, or a trip to Chur for the old town and the cinema.

Parpan lies at 1500 m above sea level in Graubünden, on the road from Chur to Lenzerheide. By car you are in Chur in about 20 minutes, and the PostBus is just as convenient.
